Lawrence has the Right Frame of Mind

By Adrienne Murrill

Spending so much time at home presents an opportunity to look around and assess what we love and don't love about our domains. Lawrence Framing & Autographs and Lawrence Interiors are here to help you love your home.

Both business are open and ready for business -- with a few restrictions. Gary Lawrence explains:

Q: How has the pandemic changed day-to-day operations?  What has been the biggest challenge?

A: Biggest challenge and changes in day-to-day has been all suppliers being shutdown, although some are now reopening. Also, customers were unable to pick-up and we could not deliver or provide home visits.

Q: What has been an unexpected positive result of the pandemic?

A: Unexpected result were two clients, both with large orders of more than 40+ frames each for two private clubs. Both clients figured that since they would be shut down for a while, they would redo portions of their clubhouses.

Q: How can the community support Lawrence Interiors & Framing?

A: Customers can support us by taking a good look at their homes (where they are spending a great deal of time) and try to see where they can make improvements...i.e.: dig out the old family photos for framing, look at the worn look of upholstered items, new blinds or draperies, carpeting, wallcovering, etc.

Q: What would you like the Lake Bluff community to know about your business?

A: We hope the Lake Bluff community looks local first and understands that we offer picture framing, art restoration, furniture repair, reupholstery, complete interior design services, furniture and gifts. They can see all of our services at www.lawrenceinteriors.com. When allowed by the State of Illinois Stay-at-Home policy, it's only $150 for an in-home consultation by interior designer and owner Jeff Lawrence to make an in-home visit. Q: When are you open?

A: Open Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  We are now open, and allowing only 2 people in the store at a time, from the same family.

Gary Lawrence is keeping things bright and sunny at work and in life. Here he is outside of his family's business in downtown Lake Bluff.
