LB Park District Hires New Executive Director
The Lake Bluff Park District board has hired John Bealer to take over the executive director position recently vacated by Ron Salski.
Bealer comes from the Village of Schiller Park. A 26-year veteran of the parks and recreation industry, he holds a Bachelor of Science in parks and recreation administration from Western Illinois University. He has an extensive background in community outreach, public policy, facilities management, programming, park planning and project management. Bealer will head the Lake Bluff Park District serving as its CEO and report to the Board of Commissioners while overseeing the operations of departments and projects.
“He’ll serve as the main public contact and spokesperson for the district and will represent us in and all professional business capacities.” Said Park Board President Chris Mosbarger. John and his wife Eryn and are the parents of six adult children, they enjoy traveling, Lake Michigan, live music and their dog Olive a miniature long hair dachshund. “Anticipate seeing John around the Village and office during the next several weeks. His first official day is September 8, 2020. Please take a moment to stop by John’s office, introduce yourself, and welcome him to our Park District family and community.”
